Over the last several weeks, we at ABHF  have spent countless hours working to ensure that all logistics were put in place before making the announcement, and we are very sorry for not informing you of our progress.  Listed below are the complete details for ticketing at this year’s event:

  1. Ticketing will only be done at the Main Stage. Tickets for this year’s event will cost $5 a day and $10 for a three-day pass.
  2. All other stages and areas of the festival, including vendors, will be open to the general public.
  3. Tickets are available for presale online starting today (24 August) and in Food Giant and Tobacco Warehouse stores starting September 15.

Those who purchase tickets online will pick up their tickets at the ABHF ticket booth upon arrival at the festival. We ask that you present a photo ID at the ticket booth in order to redeem your tickets. This year’s presale tickets are sponsored by Food Giant. We hope that this answers most of your questions about ticketing. If you have any concerns, please call the festival office, and we will be happy to speak with you and hear your ideas on ways to make this festival and the experience better. Thank you for your support and most importantly, your patience, in this matter. We look forward to seeing you in October.

Is this going to be in the form of a wristband? I’ll reiterate something I said on another post. I’m happy to pay this amount to keep the festival viable. That said, please focus on keeping the festival character the same. I hope we aren’t going to be forced to go through security checks and what not. Part of what makes your festival fun is the care free attitude and the easy movement between stages. I’m looking forward to seeing you in October.

For the many years I have attended I would have paid for your wonderful festival and will gladly pay now. As Willie Cee says the wide open spaces without restriction of movement between the stages and the vendors makes the gathering more desireable than others. Please make every effort to not herd us like cattle and search us like criminals. We are only here for the music and the beautiful people (oops, sound like the 60’s) who attend and especially those who volunteer their valuable time to make it the best festival in the world. A suggestion: maybe a multiyear pass.
    Thanks for listening

I think the ticket pricing is quite reasonable and I can understand the need for this change. Maybe under better economic conditions in the future this will be unnecessary. As said in an earlier comment, I hope the logistics won’t be cumbersome and detract from the character of the festival.

I feel differently about the new approach to the Friends of the Blues sponsorship. You have essentially turned it into a couples deal by not offering a sponsorship on a single ticket basis. I’m sure that there must be more than a few folks who contribute that do so as individuals rather than as couples. Surely, this approach will result in the loss of some sponsorships.

Has the “friends of the festival” changed now, is the 10$ included when I buy the “friend..”? Will it still have the special row in front of the main stage?? Would bwe good to have that information.

Just tried to purchase ABHF tickets but could not change the number of tickets needed. By purchasing tickets through this site, are we only allowed to purchase one ticket at a time?

I don’t mind the charge and understand the need for funds. I trust the funds in the future will be well cared for properly audited. The Festival should still be great but caution about trying to “rope off” the main stage area for the admission fee. It can become a nightmare for you to man check points on the street, sides, levee and the back. Good luck.

It sounds like there’s a lot of confusion putting things together this year. I hope it will still be a great festival. I have some confusion just reading the ticket info. I also wonder about the friends of the festival tickets.

Can anyone clear up the confusion about general admission and Friends of the Blues sponsorship? General admission is $10 for a 3-day pass. FoB says two free 3-day tickets included. So, is this the same as general admission or is there still going to be a restricted area for FoB? If there is a special FoB area, is the general admission price included in the FoB package or is it additional?

I heard the FOB area is the same area as the general admission area. The restricted area which was the FOB area is the VIP area directly in front of the stage. I think the price is $500 for 4 VIP tickets. Good price because it includes the VIP party too. Check the Sponsorship link on the website to view all levels.

I’m sad to see there isn’t a female singing at sunset scheduled for the line-up on Thurs Fri or Sat. I remember in the past Jerry Pillow scheduled a female singer at the 5:40 – 6ish PM sunset hour. Always lovely to hear a female voice as the sunsets. :-D
